Christy Aills got a big win in Tallahassee last week, but now she must wait to see if she will be able to collect any of the $8.25 million a jury awarded her.

Aills, now 34, went to Dr. Luciano Boemi of Naples in 2003 for a breast augmentation and lift. During surgery, blood supply was cut to her breasts, causing tissue to die, according to testimony at trial.

In 2006, a jury awarded her $250,000 for actual damages to cover medical expenses and $8 million for pain and suffering.

Their has never been a lawyer that lost on a court case they get paid weither they win or lose the case. How much of the 6million dollars do they actually get. and why. Ok the doctor messed up didn't she sign the discloser form this was elective surgery right. I think cosmetic surgery needs a different type of malpractice insurance than the regular doctors get. and why is it that much for pain and suffering. What she can't get a boyfriend now?
